CLRA is conducting a research to build an employment-centred understanding of urban poverty by documenting the lived experiences of Delhi’s working-class communities. Through field research, the study will highlight how class, caste, gender, and migration histories shape access to employment, and how these factors intersect with broader urban inequalities.
Role and Responsibilities:
CLRA invites applications for Researcher to lead and conduct the fieldwork and analysis, with collaboration with the CLRA team. The selected person will be responsible for:
Preparing Questionnaire/Survey formats.
Leading and executing fieldwork in selected working-class neighbourhoods of Delhi
Preparing field notes and documenting observations
Data cleaning and analysis
Drafting of the final report and summary brief
Participating in dissemination-related activities
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Graduate degree in social sciences, development studies, urban studies, or related fields
Strong understanding of informal labour, urban inequality, and migration issues
Capacity to work independently and manage timelines effectively
