Action research is central to CLRA’s mission. Before carrying out an intervention, we document the material conditions of workers to understand their socioeconomic and cultural realities. For over a decade, our research has championed the rights of seasonal migrants in western and central India, especially in informal sectors like agriculture, construction, and brick kilns. These sectors often obscure poor working conditions due to inadequate data. Each year, CLRA publishes in-depth studies and articles to shed light on the challenges faced by these workers and to advocate for their rights.
